Bollywood vs Lollywood : Two Worlds Apart !

How much the worlds of Bollywood and Lollywood are different from each other could be judged from this breaking news that Big Cinemas, a subsidiary of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (R-ADAG), plans to add 100 more screens to its existing network by next year.

Big Cinemas is Indian's largest cinema chain owning a dominant network of over 213 screens in 66 cities of India. With 100 more screens across 85 cities it would cater to more than 35 millions movie watchers annually in India.

Whereas poor Lollywood's haunted studios are waiting for a revolutionary action plan to revive the Pakistani film industry which is not in sight in the near future.

Government's callousness is a main reason for the current downfall of Lollywood. Will some sincere and patriotic Directors, Producers, Investors, Writers, Actors and state officials sit down together to find a practicable solution and lay the foundation of a new era in Pakistani film industry?

Will anybody care about the future of thousands of technicians, photographers, studio workers and labourers?
